We have just completed a webinar series with a primary school principal’s cohort in NSW.
What an experience!
Justin and I are like the Cheshire Cat with grins from ear to ear. The reason is simply this: in this series, we have fulfilled an instance of our jointly held vision of servant leadership. We have witnessed the power of 30 leaders individually mindfully revealing their manifestos in the context of their leadership roles.
Over six hour long webinar sessions (with a seventh added to celebrate the outcomes), we have facilitated the 7 steps of our book, offering additional insights from our own personal manifesto process and those shared by all of you who have gone before on this manifesto journey. With the entire cohort, and offshoots in break out rooms, we have joined deeply invested conversations with passionate leaders generously being vulnerable in their humanity.
When the final versions of their manifestos were uploaded, Justin and I shared with each other our delight at seeing, reading and benefiting from the wisdom, authenticity and honesty of these leadership statements. It was enlightening, gratifying and humbling.
The impact of having undergone the process and reaching the outcome within which their words sung, was also shared by many of the Principals in emails accompanying their completed manifestos. Their joy was magnified when their words returned with their design suggestions honoured and delivered by our designer, Josh from Staygold Designs.
According to the principals this manifesto experience was timely, deeply affecting and hugely motivating.
According to us, the leadership and influence they will convey upon all they interact with, represents a clear and apparent infusion of hope for the future of the children themselves as well as us all – as the ripple extends.
