#211 – Accessible to All

January 2026
— Reading Time: 2 minutes

Justin and I are excitedly preparing for our next workshop series, which is The Parenting Manifesto Series. We have been supported by the City of Greater Geelong for this series so that we can truly say all we offer in our in-person six-part series, together with a complimentary copy of our book, is accessible to all.

When we started on this my manifesto journey four years ago now, we were motivated by our shared value of servant leadership. Our pivots along the way – including this latest one – have all been the result of our greater efforts to make our offerings more accessible. We believe in the power of having a personal manifesto as the lodestone for our lives. Bringing the opportunity to others, to help them benefit from their own manifestos in the context of their lives, drives us.

This pivot, of bringing the personal manifesto concept to the parenting arena, excites us. Parenting – and Justin and I are both parents of adult children, and I am a grandparent of five children from the age of 21 months to 16 years – has to be one of life’s greatest responsibilities and one of its most rewarding challenges. We are bringing to this important role of parenting our lived experiences as parents and our most powerful tool – the personal manifesto.

Our intention is to provide for the parents who attend our workshops, a safe space to reconnect with their deepest selves. We know that the best parenting will arise from the well spring of the best selves of each of the participants. Knowing who they are and honouring that self within the way they parent is what we intend to facilitate. Participating in this work within a group, extends the experience. Each of the parents involved, by sheer dint of being in a group, sees, feels they are not alone.

The survival of our species is reliant upon community.

We ask for your kindness in wishing us well in our latest venture. Each of you as my manifesto mates has experienced the empowerment of a personal manifesto. Join us in wishing well all the parents who are about to experience it for themselves as they raise and nurture the next generation of humans.
